Postgraduate students have rated the ³ÉÈËBÕ¾ among the very best in the UK, according to the results of a major national independent survey.
The latest Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey reveals Worcester as 6th for Overall Satisfaction, as well as 1st for Resources, 5th for Engagement and for Assessment, 6th for Teaching, Organisation, Skills Development and Information.
This latest survey confirms Worcester as one of the country’s best universities for teaching, educational quality and student experience across the board. The University is already ranked 6th for Teaching Quality in the current Times Good University Guide 2020, as well as 8th for Student Experience. And in the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings 2020, Worcester is in the top three for Quality Education.
³ÉÈËBÕ¾ Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor David Green CBE, said: “We are delighted that our taught postgraduate students have again joined our undergraduate students in rating their experience at the ³ÉÈËBÕ¾ so highly. We work tirelessly to educate and inspire our students for life and offer a wide variety of highly successful postgraduate courses, from teaching through to business, psychology and sport. Our philosophy is to encourage the professional and personal as well as the academic development of all our students.”
The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey, run by AdvanceHE, the independent national organisation for higher education teaching, leadership and equality, analysed results from more than 80,000 postgraduate students. Students scored their experiences of learning and teaching across a set of questions, including on levels of support and guidance and how prepared they feel for their future career.
Last month, Worcester was ranked first in 8 subject areas in the National Student Survey, which covers undergraduate education, including Midwifery, Physiotherapy and Accounting, with 14 courses receiving 100% satisfaction from graduating students.
The University, which is currently shortlisted for the second year as University of the Year in the UK Social Mobility Awards, has one of the best overall employment rates in the UK, being in the top 10 for "Sustained employment with or without further study" in the most recent Longitudinal Educational Outcomes data, which looks at employment rates 1, 3 and 5 years after graduation.
Worcester was named the UK’s Sustainability Institution of the Year at the end of last year and was recently Highly Commended in the International Green Gown Awards at the UN.
