UK by the nation’s largest automotive platform.

Research by Auto Trader analysed the number of EV charging devices available at universities and factored salary sacrifice schemes for electric vehicles into their scoring.

Home to one of the largest EV charging car parks in Europe, The ³ÉÈËBÕ¾ scored a perfect 100 in the study, with 100 electric car charging points available on campus and a salary sacrifice arrangement to assist staff in purchasing a low emission vehicle.

A spokesperson for Auto Trader said: “We’re incredibly passionate about supporting motorists who want to drive electric cars, so we’re sending big kudos to the ³ÉÈËBÕ¾ for making life easier for their eco-conscious staff and students.”

They continued: “By offering their employees a salary sacrifice scheme to help ignite their electric driving journey, and offering so many charging points that Worcester’s campus is actually one of the biggest charging parks, the ³ÉÈËBÕ¾ is one of the country’s leading institutions in aiding the switch to electric.”

Professor David Green, CBE DL, the ³ÉÈËBÕ¾’s Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive said: “We are delighted that Auto Trader, known for their expert guidance on all things automotive, have named Worcester as Britain’s most EV friendly University”.

The University, staff and students alike, do all we can to provide practical, affordable solutions to the climate crisis while keeping our community moving and powering ahead.”

The ³ÉÈËBÕ¾’s main electric car charging car park opened last year on Hylton Road in the city. Six of the 100 charging points are 50 KWh rapid chargers, and there are a further 200 standard car parking spaces on site.
