I have had a varied medical career and am currently working as a SAS doctor in haematology at Gloucester. I really like “cells” but I also enjoy talking so haematology is a good specialty for me!
I lived abroad for several years which allowed me to pursue my passion for adventure whilst providing me with different personal experiences which have helped me to become a better doctor.
If I’m not in a clinic or teaching then you will find me driving the length and breadth of Gloucestershire driving my two teenage children to their various activities.
I have a lifetime ambition to run a half marathon and to learn to horse ride so if anyone is considering orthopaedics then I might need you at some point in the future.

Teaching Interests
As a doctor you become a teacher whether you realise it or not!
I formalised my teaching when I undertook a postgraduate clinical fellow year in medical education. In this year I completed my teaching and learning for health professionals certificate. This enabled me to develop an understanding of educational theory, apply it to teaching in practice and reflect on my experiences.
I will be an ICM tutor at TCMS and I am hoping to expand my role as time progresses.
I am also an educational supervisor for the foundation programme at Gloucester Royal.
Research Interests
My previous research interests in education have included looking at what factors influence trainees to apply for acute medicine posts.
