Here, he gained experience in a variety of specialist settings including cardiothoracic, neurosurgery/medicine, hepatorenal, paediatric and general intensive care units across the Southwest region. Similarly, Geoff gained varied experience within primary and preventive care as a qualified district nurse where he worked within practice and held positions as a practice educator, clinical nurse manager and lecturer-practitioner. As a previous senior lecturer, Geoff taught on a variety of pre and post-registration nursing programmes supporting curriculum development and delivery around non-medical prescribing, primary care and paramedic science.

More recently, Geoff worked as an associate chief nurse for the Government of Jersey, where his role interfaced with a variety of nursing specialisms in both public, charitable and privately funded organisations within the Island of Jersey, providing support and development of professional practice supporting the modernisation agenda around healthcare reform.
