Role Summary

This role focuses on providing a first-rate experience for school based mentors who work alongside the university in supporting our trainees. Liaising with both Primary and Secondary schools across the region.

Role and Responsibilities

  • To organise online and face to face training events including venue booking and set up, invites and tracking attendance, overseeing operations whilst sessions are being conducted and post event administration.
  • To act as first point of contact for Mentor training queries via telephone and email.
  • To liaise with external stakeholders regarding training events and requirements and to tactfully remind stakeholders of the obligations and training requirements of being an ITT mentor.
  • To liaise with external stakeholders regarding training events and requirements and to effectively circulate the obligations and training requirements of being an ITT mentor.
  • To devise, coordinate and collate post event feedback and end of placement mentor surveys. To circulate results as necessary in appropriate formats depending on audience and use.
  • to implement appropriate strategies to lead on enhancing the operational elements of mentor training to contribute to the overall continual improvement of ITT mentoring across all courses.
  • Assist senior leaders review compliance by compiling appropriate reports showing training undertaken and training outstanding across all mentors, course and/or schools
