Why Higher Education (Year 12 and 13)
This interactive talk explores the reasons why students choose to go into Higher Education and provides them with guidance for choosing the right course. A series of quizzes, Q&A’s and case studies will ensure that students are engaged throughout.

University Life (Year 12 and 13)
Our graduates share their experience of university life, including opportunities, support and the transition to university. As well as covering both commuting and living at university options, we will explore placement years and study abroad options.

How to Write a Personal Statement (Year 12 and 13)
Including advice and techniques to write a personal statement that will support their application, this led workshop gives students the chance to learn about the application process and practice strategies to help them begin writing their statement.
Duration: 45 minutes to an hour

Interview Preparation (Year 13)
Students will learn about different types of interviews, how to prepare, the importance of both verbal and non-verbal communication and also have the chance to practice techniques they learn within the session.

Student Finance and How to Budget (Year 13)
In this interactive workshop, students will discover the different loans, grants and bursaries available and how to apply for them. Through a ‘Game of Life’ based activity, they will learn both the importance of budgeting and how to do it effectively.
